Have you seen infomercials for "Your Baby Can Read"? If so, what was your reaction when you first saw the infomercial? Who do you believe, the university experts or the CEO of "Your Baby Can Read," and why? If you were a parent, would you want your child to read at a young age? Why or why not?

Downing said ... The claims of " Your Baby Can Read" sound like pure rubbish. I am very skeptical of the claims that it makes and beleive the university studies, not the CEO of "Your Baby Can Read." I wanted my children to read as soon as they could, but that is not going to be at the same age for everybdoy.

Sheron says... i would think maybe if a parent got my baby can read, they most likely want their kids to either be able to speak sooner or to be more educated going into school. I think it’s a great idea, I wish I had that when I was that old.

Robbie says... I think if someone would get it for their baby that it could work. If a baby look at it enough they baby should be able to understand it and put it together and understand what it says. It dosent take much for a baby to lear if their around it enough.

Lauren...I do not believe in the "Your Baby Can Read" program. I agree with the experts. I would not want my child to read at a young age. It would be normal for a child to learn on their own. I think that this program manipulates the natural fundamental growth process. It was a good idea but I believe that it is very misleading. Babies are not meant to read at such a young age.

The infomercials seem pretty cool and if I were a parent, I would want my kid to start an education as soon as possible. The program MAY work for some people but maybe not for others. I would believe the experts over the CEO because he could be lying so customers would buy the product.

Chris says… I have seen the commercials for my baby can read, I think that it probably doesn’t work at all. I wouldn’t buy it for my kid, I would teach him myself. I hope they get rid of those commercials so they can stop misleading young kids that if they get this product they will be able to read.

Madi... I do not believe "Your Baby Can Read" actually works. When I saw the commercials for it I never thought it was real and that it would work. I am not a parent right now but I would love if my baby was able to read at a young age. Being able to read makes you a lot smarter so I am all for it if it worked.

LaKendra.. I don't believe that "Your Baby Can Read" really works. Parents are just being lied to about this program. I would not buy this for my child.

When I first saw the “Your baby can read” commercials on TV I thought it was not true. No baby can read before it can barely talk. If I was a parent I want my child to start reading when it’s supposed to. “Your baby can read” it only teaching your children to memorize things, in my opinion.

Lilli.. I think if parents buy "your aby can read" then they want their kid to grow up smarter. I don't think it works. I would want my baby to start reading at a younger age so that they grow up to be smarter and have a brighter future.

I think that it is ridiculous that anyone could believe this product's claims in the first place. In today's society, parents are simply obsessed in making their kids into competitive members of the future "work force". The founder is undoubtedly a genius, tapping into this trend. This, along with other "Helicopter Parenting" is way more detrimental than it seems, with this and other products, regimens, and diets being forced onto children in order to give them an invisible edge on a future market place.

Ashley says... The commerical for "Your Baby Can Read" could go both ways. It could be true and it could most likely be false. Little kids repeat what you say. The parents could get you to memorize words over and over for them to remember. I think kids should enjoy life and have a good fun childhood. It's good for them to lean but 8 months? I wouldn't think so at all. I wish I got taught at a younger age but not 8 months mabe one or two. You don't need to push the child. The children should start when their ready!

i have seen the informercials for this. Its hard for me to think that babys so young can learn how to read befor there even one. If i was a parebt i would not want my baby to read at such a young age because thats when they need to be able to have fun being young. They can learn how to read when they are old enough for school.

I didn't really believe this at first. It's pretty amazing that little baby's are learning to read at that age. If I were a parent, I would wait for them to read till the normal age, just because that's how I was raised.

I always see things like this on facebook. I think it is amazing. I say that because to have your baby read at an young age, is an advantage on there life when they get older. I love this video.

I thought this was a stupid product. Why would someone buy this when they can teach kids to read for free? I agree with the experts because of how memory works. Who would want their child to read at an accelerated rate? What would they even read?

What is up with that dude's hair!!!!!!!! He NEEDS to just get rid of it... Anyway, I absolutely believe its all lies and what not, but it's the parent's fault for being so stupid. Taking advantage of an idiot is not wrong. Maybe they should learn to stop being so gullible.

Yes, I have seen the infomercial for "Your Baby Can Read". My reaction to this was that was a realy good idea for young kids. I believe the CEO of "Your Baby Can Read". If I was a parent yes I would want my child to read at a young age I don't see nothing wrong with that. It would just get them a step head of their learning skills.

When I first saw the infomercial I didn't believe them and I still don't. I believe the university experts because they know what they are talking about. If I was a parent I would not want my child to read that young. I would want them to learn to read at the normal age, because that's how I learned and you wouldn't want you child to have tp be moved around all the time in school because he was smarter than others.
