A Visit to Heaven

Meet Colton Burpo. Now 11 years old, he claims to have visited heaven during surgery when he was 4. It is the subject of a best selling book that he and his dad have written. After watching the video, do you believe his story? How believable is Colton? Could it have been a dream? Does it fit your idea of what heaven is? If it does not, what is your idea of what heaven might be like?

I don't think this little boy is lying, however, it could've been a dream. It would be amazing if this little boy did see heaven and it's nice that he had such an enjoyable experience.

Lauren...Colton made his story sound very believable. I do believe that there is a heaven but i'm not so sure that it was for real. He could have experienced a very complex dream that he could effectively elaborate on. If he was 4 when it happened i'm not sure how he could remember everything and hold it in for 3 years. However, Colton does describe heaven as I picture it in my mind.

Madi says.. I really don't know if I believe Colton's story. He sounds sincere about his story, but I think it was just a dream. It kinda does fit my idea of what heaven is like.

Kristin says... I believe in Heaven and it is possible that the boy went there. He believes he went to heaven, but it could have just been a dream. The only thing I don't agree with in his story was that his "Pop" had wings. When people die and go to Heaven they don't become angels.

Sheron says…I think he could have been there before and he could have been on the verge of dying when he was in surgery and he visited heaven. I personally think heaven is real.

I do believe there is a heaven, weather this little boy saw it or not I don’t know. Why would it have taken him seven years to write the book? He is only eleven years old, how could he know what he is talking about.

Matt: I do believe that there is a heaven, and I hope that I have lived a good enough life and have followed God and his word enough, so as to be allowed to this holy place. I do not think that he went to Heaven. I feel that God knows when to admit you to his holy land. Had it truly been his time, I believe that God would have known that. Perhaps though, maybe he DID have a religious encounter, that I can not know. Truthfully, I can not know that he DIDN'T actually go to Heaven; all I have is what I believe; and I believe that had God truly wanted to take him, then He would have; but it would seem, that He did not feel that it was time.

Tee- I do believe that there is a heaven, but I'm not quite sure if this boy actually visited it. The boy seems quite believable, but his parents seem a little bit odd to me. . . Almost stage-parent-ish. . . My idea of heaven is similar, except with a lot more food and vast amounts of attractive women who do nothing but serve grapes to me and my friends. Also, dragons would be nice. I could see an angel riding a dragon. But that's just my perfect idea of heaven.

Ashley says... I do beleive in heaven. Colton was very sure of what he was saying. He was ready to prove and back up anything he said. It's really hard to tell. I mean the stuff he was saying sounded true. You get a new body in heaven and change. The little boy was in surgrey, so he could have had a dream that seemed to real but idk how it can happen. If he says it's true, then I guess we will have to wait but the things he said were true and he didnt even see his dad or anything while in sugrey! So it seems hard to explain.

LaKendra... I believe that there is a heaven but I do not believe that Colton has visited it. He made his story seem very believable with his very descriptive details but it is still very hard to believe. There is a very big possibility that maybe all of this could have just been a very realistic dream that he had during surgery. But if he really believes that he did visit heaven then why did it take him so long to come out and tell his story. But whether is it true or not I am sure that his family is enjoying all of this success and attention.

Chris says… I think the boy from the video probably didn’t go to Heaven. Well that’s what I think, but still he could have contacted with his dead relatives because other people have done it before. But for all we know it could have been a dream.

Cadeja says: I am really not sure if I believe his story or not. I do believe in heaven though but the kid was only four when he had this dream. Now kids do have a big imagination and there are other people that have claimed to have similar dreams as his, but, he is a kid and it is possible that he could have made it up. My idea of heaven would be similar to his but I can’t really say though because you go to church and you learn about it but you can’t really say because we haven’t been there yet.

Jonathan says... I think its a hoax, yes I do believe in god and all but everybody in there 20's and 30's I doubt that. The parents could've all this up. But then again it could all be real the only person that truely know's is the kid.

Robbie says.. I think hes telling the truth. I dont see why he would wanna lie about something like that. If he is really telling the truth it must have been a cool sight to see God.

I do believe what the little boy says. I say that because God can bless you so you can be gifted like that. It does kinda fit my idea of heaven. I would hope that when i go to heaven i will be in wings just like that boy said.

I think the kid really did go to heaven. I don't think it could have been a dream because he knew a lot of things that he couldn't have got from just a dream. It doesn't really fit my idea of what heaven is. I think in heaven, it'll be what ever you want it to be.

I think his story is very believable. Sure, it could've been a dream. I never really had an idea of what heaven was like, never put a lot of thought into it.

I do believe his story. It is possible it was a dream but then again maybe not. From what he says Heaven seems to be a beautiful place.

He's not necessarily a liar, but his story definitely isn't true. I am a very logical person and do not believe that what this child says is true. He could have been dreaming, but I think his parents are forcing him into it. They seem like the type to do so. All in all, I don't believe in any of this.

Yes, I do believe his story. He is very believable because I don't think that you would want to lie about something like that. I believe in heaven and i'm not sure this could have been a dream.

I don’t know if I believe Colton. His parents could have told him about everything that he said. I do not have an idea about heaven, but I don’t disbelieve in it. I am a visual perceiver, meaning that I believe it when I see it. If I had to describe heaven, I would say it would be like Margaritaville. Jesus would be playing Lynard Skynard with a band of angels. The song they would be playing….. Free Bird.

I do believe that this little boy did go to heaven. He is really believable. I don't think he can make a story up like that and tell how his great grandfather looked. I don't think it was a dream. Yes, it most likely fit my image of heaven.
