A Scary Airplane Flight

Wow, this is scary. An airplane having part of the fuselage tear off during flight. As you watch the video were you amazed at how calm everybody seemed to be? Would you have been scared? Will you pay more attention to the onboard flight safety presentation? If you are flying soon, will this incident cause you to rethink your plans?

I'm impressed that everyone on the plane was so calm and concerned for the well-being of the other passengers. I have flown many times, and it has never crossed my mind that something like this could happen to me. Although it's scary, it will not keep me from flying. There are car accidents everyday, and I'm not afraid to drive or ride in a car. Adam, Braydon, and I will be going to Disney World over Spring Break. I'll be sure to listen to the safety presentation; I usually do.

Robbie says.. If that ever happend to me I would freak out! I dont know what i would do. watchin somethin like that makes me not want to fly.

This may seem bad, but airflight is still the safest way to travel. Considering how many people die daily from car crashes, this is small potatoes. The news media just needs a new crisis in order to have enough fodder for the 24-hour news cycle.

ernie says..... Ive never flew before. I do not plan on flying anytime soon. I would probably get scared though.

Sheron says…I think if everyone was to get scared and panic more people would be hurt and the fact that they were so calm was a good thing in this situation.

Matt: I am actually going to be flying on a plane in a week to go to Chicago. This does not scare me in the slightest. Airplanes are SOOOO much safer than any other mode of transportation. The only reason we make such a big deal about it is because of how publicized it is. People die in car crashes about every 3 seconds, so if a plane's roof rips open every couple of years I think I will be ok.

Tee: I am very surprised about how well everyone acted in such a horrible situation. I would have been freaking out if I were on the plane. I probably still won't pay too much attention to the flight attendant though or rearrange any flying plans, because I like to live life on the edge. I mean, I'm Taylor Danger Brant, come on.

Lauren...I am very surprised that all of the passengers remained calm. I have only flown once. I would have been extremely scared in this situation. I will be sure to pay more attention on the onboard flight safety presentation. However, I will still fly. I also commend the pilot for his rapid thoughts. He, therefore, saved all 118 passengers.

LaKendra... If I was on that plane I would have had a a heart attack. That is something that would make me never want to fly again. Things like this are the reason I have never been on a plane today and don't plan on boarding one any time soon !

Madi says.. I was pretty amazed at how calm the people who were on the plane seemed to be. Personally I would have been really scared, and I will for sure pay more attention the next time the flight safety is being presented. I will be flying this summer and it does make me rethink about wanting to go. Anything can happen so you just always have to be prepared for the worst.

I think that the reason everyone was so calm is because they were focused on other passengers on the plane or they were in shock. I don't really trust planes too much so I would've been terrified. I would pay attention to the flight safety speech everytime. When my family travels, we typically try to avoid air travel.

Chris says… I’m really not surprised that everyone was calm, because if everyone started to freak out then it would make matters worse and who knows maybe it could have made the plane crash. If I was on that plain I don’t think I would have been scared at all. When I fly again I’ll probably watch the presentation they give on flight safety.

Kristin says... It's shocking that everyone stayed calm and collected. I would have been terrified. I will definitely pay more attention to the onboard flight safety presentation. This will have me rethinking plans to fly in the future.

I am suprised how calm people were on the plane. I know I would have been scared if I was on that plane. This incident does not make me rethink about flying, because I also knbow that many planes don't mess you. And every plane I have been on didn't mess up.

Ashley says... I'm impressed that everyone was calm. I wouldn't be calm. I would be scared to death! I don't what I would besides listen to the people. When you get on a plane your risking your life sometimes. The way aiplanes have been latley, you have to be careful and know what to do. Just last year I went to NewYork and rode a plane for the first time. I was so scared but I got through it. I'm afraid of heights so I would think i'm going to die if I was in that plane! It really makes me not want to fly anymore.

Things like this are the reason why I don’t fly. I would have been scared to death! I was actually surprised at how calm the passengers were because I would have been freaking out, not knowing what do to. People should pay more attention to the safety presentation.

Destiny saids....WOOOOW!!! See that is why I don't go on planes because it very risky. It's amazing how they stayed so clam through it, if I was up there I really don't know what I would of done. Everything that I might of know what to do. It would of been lost. That is good that everybody survives that flight.

Jonathan says... That would never happen to me because if was supposed to fly I would of been born with wings. Its surprising the whole roof didn't come off. And amazingly nobody was hurt.

Yeah, it was pretty crazy how people really didn't react to it. I would have been scared. I will pay extra attention to the on board flight safety presentation. I don't think it will cause me to rethink my plans on going to Turkey during the summer.

I am amazed, because i rode a plain plenty of times. I am very shocked that the people on the plane remained calm. I think i would have caught an panic attack. This is something serious, this will really change about me riding planes again for a long time, because that is scary, especially for the kids on the plane.

I would have been scared because im already scared to just be in a plain. However i love flying because its beautiful to see everything as your in the sky. This incident wont make me rethink about flying because things are still crazy on the ground and its said your safer in a plan then on the ground. Ill still live by my rule i will not go anywhere if i have to be on a plan for more then two hours.

I have never flown. I don't plane on flying either. If I was on that plane yes I would have been scared. I am not flying soon so I don't have to worry about rethinking my plans over.

BOOORRRRIIINNNGGGG.... It was a teeny tiny little hole. People cannot get sucked up from things like that. The only reason there would have been any reason for panic would be for lack of oxygen. The plane would not have fallen apart. Everyone survived so this isn't that exciting.
