Diver Races Sea Turtle

Check out this great MSN video: Diver Races Sea Turtle

Remember the old story of the race between the tortoise and the hare? In this year of the rabbit, see how one aquarium celebrated. Would you have enjoyed viewing the experiment? Who were you cheering for? How did you think it would end? Or, do you think it was a waste of time with no useful purpose, or possibly just a silly publicity stunt?

I thought this was a cute idea. I thought the guy dressed as the rabbit would win but I wanted the turtle to win. The turtle didn't look like he was in a hurry though.

I think that the rabbit did a good job, all things considered. I mean, after all, the turtle is made to swim. I think we can all learn something from the turtle, who was in no big rush, and he got fed afterwords. Who's the real winner?

Ernie says......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I would not have enjoyed the experiment. The experiment was not fun at all to watch. I will not encourage anyone to watch it.

Lauren...I thought that the celebration of the year of the rabbit was very clever. It could have been entertaining for young children but other than that it was basically a waste of time. I was cheering for the turtle because the rabbit's dance moves did not impress me.

Matt: I have had a great love of turtles ever since I can remember. They are literally the most laid back creatures next to sloths. So, I was voting for the turtle. Plus, why would I vote for someone in a bunny suit?

Tee- I would have loved to be there for the experiment. I couldn't help my self but cheer for the turtle, and I knew he had to win in order to honor the story. I think I was a publicity stunt, and it probably worked very well as it completely captured my attention!

I don't remember the old story about the race between the tortoise and hare. I wouldn't have enjoyed viewing the experiment. It was a waste of time.

Kristin says... It was a really cute way to play out the story for kids. I would have enjoyed viewing the experiment, and i was rooting for the toroise of course! I knew how it would end, if the tortoise didn't win it wouldn't have been true to the story.

Sheron says…I think doing the race underwater gives the turtle an advantage so the hare would probably lose in this case. I think it was just a silly publicity stunt for kids…boring

I think I would have gotten a good laugh out of viewing this experiment. It was pretty cute. Since they were trying to make it more fun for the kids it was definitely cute for them. I was cheering for the tortoise to will.

LaKendra.. I think that the aquarium came up with a very creative way of celebrating the year of the rabbit. I'm sure that it was not only entertaining but was also good publicity and advertisement for the aquarium.

Ashley says... Yes, I remember the tale of the tortoise and the hare. I use to hear the story when I was younger! I will root for the tortoise. I like turltes and also the hare was cocky about the race, so I think turle deserves to win. I can see how this stunt was good for kids. Kids like that kind of stuff but I wouldn't watch it. I thought it was funny but nothing I would see by choice!

Cadeja says: Yes, I remember the story of the race between the tortoise and the hare. The experiment to me was pretty boring to be honest. I don’t know who I would have cheered for. I think it would have ended with the hare out running the tortoise because the whole experiment was nothing at all like the story. I do think that it was a waste of time but at the same time I think it was pretty neat and well put together.

Jonathan says... I think it was kinda weird and didn't make much sense even though I know of the story. That was a complete waste of time. It may of been cute for kids but I think it was ridiculous.

Yes I remeber the tails between the tortoise and the hare. I did not understand the experience. I would have cheered for the tortoise, if I had understood this experience. In my honest opinion, I think it was just a waste of time to try what they did. I think that they just did it for silly entertainment.

I would love to have watched this experiment. I was rooting for the turtle to win. I knew that the man would win. He was running underwater at a fast pace. This was ridiculous.

No I don't remember it. I would not enjoy the experiment. I was not cheering for any of them. I thought the turtle was going to eat the man dressed as the rabbit and I didn't care who was going to win. the end. bye.

Yes, I would have enjoyed viewing the experiment. I wasn't really cheering neither one. I really didn't really care who won. I wouldn't say that is was a waste of time because everyone has their way of celebrating. Sometimes life just need some laughter in it.

I remember the story verry well but in the story the tortoise won. However, it was wierd with an Asian in his bunny pj's. It was funny though so i give them that lol :).

That was probably one of the strangest, most bizarre, and peculiar stunts I’ve ever seen. I would rather have been in the experiment than watch it. I wanted the turtle to win, but he seemed pretty nonchalant and uncaring to what was going on around him. I knew the rabbit would win. I don't think it had any point to it, but it was... moderately entertaining.

Yes I remember the old story of the tortoise and the hare. I think it was cute how the aquarium put together this little show for kids. If I was there I would have been for cheering for the toroise. I though it would end the same way the tale did.
