Did you watch the Academy Awards last night? If so, what did you think? If not, what did you do instead? Do you think the Oscars are worth all the hype? Do you agree with the winners of last night's major awards as highlighted in the video? Why or why not? If you could decide the winner of the Best Motion Picture award out of all the movies released during 2010, which would you choose and why?

Downing says... No, I did not watch the Oscars last night. My wife and I watched the ODU women's hoops game on delay, instead. I have seen the King's Speech and thouhgt it was deserving of all the awards it earned.

Madi says... No, I did not watch the Oscars last night. I was at youth group last night so I forgot all all it. I haven't seen King's Speech so I don't know if it deserved the awards that it earned, but I'm guessing it did if it won awards.

Jamie…
I didn’t watch the Academy awards last night; I was busy doing other things. I agree with the winners highlighted in the video because they deserve it. I have no clue who I would I would choose for the 2010 motion pictures.

Yes, last night I did watch some of the Oscars before I went to sleep, as I find it interesting to see where my favorite films of the year placed. As a major fan of both "Inception" and "Black Swan", I am thrilled to see that they both received awards. However, I think that "Black Swan" was the best picture of 2011, I LOVED THAT MOVIE.

Matthew Greene: If I were to make the choice, I would probably choose "Black Swan" for the best picture. Although my decision is probably not entirely viable seeing as I have never seen "King's Speech" and do not have any basis on how good a movie it truly is. Even still, given my knowledge on the sheer beauty of "Black Swan" my choice would definitely be geared towards that.

Lauren...I did not watch the Oscars last night. I had a volleyball tournament in Virginia Beach all day and I did not return home until later that night. I think that the Oscars are a very big deal. They can be a turning point in an actor's career. I have not seen the King's Speech but have heard great reviews of it. It was a very highly rated movie. Therefore, I believe that the King's Speech was deserving of it's award.

Thomas Farrar: I don't think that the Oscars have anywhere near the relevance they once had. The fact that they are using younger hosts, and have added more categories so that more well known films receive the awards, shows that they are desperate for ratings. However, i am glad that Black Swan won an award, as it was undoubtedly one of the most original and entertaining films of the year.

Chris says… I only watch sum of the Oscars last night. But mainly I was watching the New York Knicks and Miami Heat basketball game. I have not seen the King’s Speech but now I want to but the movie Inception that tied them for the most Oscars is one of my favorite movies.

Robbie.I did not watch the Oscars last night. I was not home last night till around 9:30 because I was at a freinds house. Yes i agree with them because they worked hard enough to get it so thats why they got it. I don't really have a favorite movie because I like to many of them.

Sarah says... I didn't watch the Oscars because I don't find it very entertaining. My favorite movie of 2010 would have to be Shutter Island. It was a good thriller that kept me guessing. I can't say whether I agree with the winners or not because I haven't seen the major movies that were promoted by the award show.

No, I did not watch the Academy Awards last night. I went out with my family, instead. I don’t normally watch the Oscars because they are not in my interest. I have not seen the King’s Speech so I do not know if it was or was not deserving of last night’s awards. If I could decide the winner of the Best Motion Picture award I don’t know which movie I would choose because there were a lot of good movies that were released in 2010.

LaKendra says... No, I did not watch the Academy Awards last night because I was busy doing other things with my family. I'm not really sure if I agree with the winners mentioned in the video because I did not know any of them I have not seen the movies that were mentioned. I do believe that it is worth all of the hype that it is given, but it is worth more the the actors and actresses than it is to the public. That is why some people may feel that it is not worth all of the hype. Choosing who should have won the award for best motion picture is a hard decision, and I'm not sure what movie really should have won.

Ashley says... Yes, I watched the Oscars lastnight. I thought James Franco and Anne Hathaway did a great job. They were young, new, and was both their first time hosting. I thought they were very funny. I think having the Oscars is a good thing. So many people put a lot of work in all they do. It makes them love what they like to do , when they get apprecaited for all the things the do. I think they deserve to win. They did a lot of hard work and were grateful for what the earned. Inception was a good movie. It's a movie I had to watch over and over to understand it, but I finally understood everything and really liked it. I think the movie and the people that put work in the movie deserved to win four Oscars lastnight. Movies are a big deal and everyone has an important role. All the winners had great speeches and I think this year's Oscars was successful!

I didn't watch the Academy Awards last night. I watched another show instead. I think some one else should have one. I personally haven't heard of the king's speech. I would choose Avatar because it was a really interesting movie.

I did not partake in watching the Oscars this past evening. I was rather busy washing my articles of clothing that I had worn in the previous days. As for the winners, I do not care that much as to who went home with awards. I do not pay much attention to the winners of Oscars in the years that have come and gone, I determine the movies I watch upon the actors I see and enjoy to watch. As for the matter of the Best Motion Picture, I do not attend every film that is released.

No, I did not watch the Academy Awards. I think that the Oscars are not worth all the hype. I don't think that any of the award shows are worth it all. Yes, I would agree with all the winners that won. The people that won worked really hard to play the pert in these role and to get nominated. If I could decide what the best movie of 2010 would be it would be Eclispe. I chose this becasue I love the Twilight movie series, they are really good.

No, I didn't watch the Academy Awards. I was trying to get over my bad feeling I had. In a way i think it is because its a special time for the person and many people love them. A movie I would pick would be Stomp the Yard Homecoming. I would pick that movie because I like dancing and its just a good movie.

No, I did not watch the Oscars last night. I was too busy getting on with my life. I like movies and actors, but if actors get awards and such for doing there jobs then why don't doctors, carpenters, scientists, teachers, janitors, librarians, bus drivers, taxi drivers, students, cashiers, clerks, store managers, technicians, mechanics, etc. get awards too? I mean, just because more people know of them, it doesn't make them any better than anyone else. As a matter of fact I would rather have met Einstein or Nikolai Tesla (Not sure of correct spelling) than some stupid, pompous actor/actress. So, I don't care for the Oscars and I don't care about who won.

I didn't watch the academy last night. I am hardly a fan. Do i think Oscars are worth all the hype? Yes, i say that because people feel proud when they win things.I wouldn't no who to choose. I also say that becasue most people are not intersted in that.

Saddly i did not watch the Academy Awards last night. The Academy Awards are the most important night of Holly Woods life. Eveyone loves getting an award for somthing great they did. The best motion picture during 2010 was the The Sorcerer's Apprentice because, it had alot of great affects and great actors. It also had a grat message that told you that you dont have to be grat to be something in the world and you dont need magic to do something great for the world
